Automated Mobile Command Post "MODULE"

The Automated Mobile Command Post (AMCP) "MODULE" is the basic element in the structure of Air Defence and Air Force Command, Control Communications & Computers (C4I) defence networks.

Flexible structure and open architecture concept allow "Module" to be easily configured as Control and Reporting Post (CRP) and Control and Reporting Centre (CRC) and serve as the backbone of successful C4I operations.

Composition:

All equipment of AMCP is accommodated inside a shelter on a truck chassis or a trailer. Stationary design is optional. AMCP in basic configuration consists of:

  • 4 typical operator workstations with role assignment and easy reconfiguration. Number and assignment of workstations may vary depending on shelter size, customer preferences and existing command structure;
  • data distribution and processing system consisting of 2 redundant servers;
  • recording system server;
  • command and control link communications equipment;
  • 2 duplicated LANs;
  • power supply system including two 9 kw generator sets and UPS;
  • temperature control and ventilation system.

AMCP “Module” may additionally be equipped with ADS-B (Automatic dependent surveillance-broadcast) receiver intended for surveillance of ADS-B equipped aircraft.

Application of ADS-B receiver allows to receive air situation data of better accuracy and higher data renewal rate (2 message per second).

Detailed information
Main functions of AMCP "Module"
  • acquisition, processing and displaying of air situation received from surveillance sensors with digital output or analogue radars equipped with A1000 radar extractors;
  • acquisition, processing and displaying of data received from analogue and digital height-finding radars;
  • intelligent automatic/manual targeting to subordinated height-finders;
  • acquisition, processing and displaying of data received from interfaced IFF;
  • generating IFF interrogations;
  • distribution of recognized air picture (RAP) to subordinated and supporting units;
  • performance monitoring of components and data transmission channels;
  • displaying of air situation against map background with layer selection & filtering capability;
  • data and voice communications with subordinated and superior units;
  • providing intercom communications;
  • calculation and displaying of radar coverage areas and Air Defense Missile Units (ADMUs) engagement areas based on digital electronic maps;
  • pre-battle and actual monitoring of AMCP equipment, displaying status of data communication channels, surveillance sensors and AMCP components;
  • simulation of air situation and treat scenarios for training purposes;
  • recording of air situation, combat crew actions, voice and quality of data transmission;
  • determination of AMCP geographical location via GPS;
  • synchronization of system components through GPS based master clock;
  • automated generation of reports;
  • displaying of RAP on remote workstation(s) interfaced via VHF/UHF/Fiber optics or Satellite communications;
  • generation of RAP based alerts (APW, MSAW, intrusion detection);
  • control and monitoring of ADMUs, target assignment and designation (optional);
  • Ground Control Intercept (GCI) communications from dedicated workstation (optional).
Joint Operations Centre

AMCP “Module” can be reconfigured into a Joint Operations Centre (JOC). JOC is the highest element in the structure of Air Defense and Air Force Command, Control Communications & Computers (C5I) defense networks. JOC is intended for planning, directing and executing joint operations and has tailored composition, organization and functions.

JOC coordinates with other command and control units with special attention on integration and interoperability ensuring nationwide airspace control and flight following.
